Duplex Forgings Characteristics
Duplex stainless steel forgings offer an excellent combination of strength and corrosion resistance. Duplex stainless steel typically is about 50 percent austenite and 50 percent ferrite. This gives duplex stainless many of the perks of austenitic and ferritic families of steel while also minimizing the weaknesses. Common components of duplex steel include carbon, manganese, silicon, chromium, nickel, phosphorous, and sulfur.

Duplex Steel Forgings at Cromdane Steel, Inc.
Forgings are produced to our customer’s material and close tolerance design requirements. Forging are produce and controlled within our API Q1 and ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management Systems requirements. Forgings are inspected and tested before delivering to our customers. Heat and Heat Lot Testing is performed on products to API 6A 21st Edition PSL 3 and ANST requirements by ISO/IEC 17025 certified laboratories with EN 10204 certified Material Test Reports provided with every product.
